Physics Relationships

The physics relationships between position , velocity , and acceleration are always going to be referenced in an AP Calculus course. It is a relationship that lends itself well to asking you questions involving both a derivative and an antiderivative. You initially learned how to drill down through the relationships when you were learning Derivative Application problems. Now it is time to learn how to work your way from the bottom up the relationship tree applying antiderivatives.

Meaning: Physics Relationships

Note: Sometimes they will reference speed. Speed is the absolute value of your velocity ; it is the magnitude of your velocity . It does not care what direction the motion is happening.

Speed = | v ( t ) |
