There isn’t a fixed number of points required for a specific score on the AP Calculus AB exam. This is because the score boundaries shift slightly each year to account for the difficulty of that specific test. If the exam is particularly challenging, the threshold for a 5 might be lower; if the exam is more straightforward, you’ll likely need more points to reach that same score. Essentially, the College Board adjusts the scale to ensure the final scores remain fair and consistent across different years.
