Step 2: Rewrite all trig functions into their sine and cosine identities, and look to cancel out common factors.
If you don’t get any cancelation or the cancellation does not get rid of your trouble spot (piece of the equation that is giving you division by zero), then you will often times need to apply additional trig identities to get the convenient cancellation you are looking for.
