Identifier: Vertical Asymptotes

  • None of the first 8 limit options work to solve the limit problem.
  • There is no way to get rid of the piece of the equation that is causing you to get division by zero.
  • The problem is asking you to identify the vertical asymptotes.

Be careful here, if they are just asking for you what the vertical asymptotes are, then you just want to look for the x values where you would get (non-removeable) division by zero, and give those x values as the answer. The other side of this is that they could be asking you to show that a specific x value is a vertical asymptote, then you need to go through the complete limit evaluation process below.
